Quick Navigation
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, provide a better user experience, and provide information to website owners.
1.1 Types of Tracking Technologies
In addition to cookies, we use similar technologies including:
- Local Storage: Stores data locally within your browser with no expiration time
- Session Storage: Stores data for one session (data is lost when the browser tab is closed)
- Device Fingerprinting: We set an anonymous fingerprint cookie (anon_fp) to rate-limit free usage, and Stripe uses device signals for fraud prevention during payment
We don't use tracking pixels or web beacons.
2. Why We Use Cookies
We use cookies to:
- Keep you signed in and keep your eBay connection working
- Remember your preferences and settings
- Analyze how our website is used to improve performance
- See which campaign or link first brought you here
- Prevent fraud and abuse of the free tier
3. Types of Cookies We Use

5. Your Cookie Choices and Rights
5.1 Managing Cookies
You have several options for managing cookies:
- Cookie Notice: On your first visit a small notice bar links to this policy. It informs, it doesn't block. The controls below are how you limit cookies
- Browser Controls: Block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Instructions for each major browser are below
- Google Analytics Opt-out: Install Google's opt-out browser add-on to stop Google Analytics everywhere, including here
- Global Privacy Control: Turn on GPC in your browser and we skip loading Google Analytics entirely (see 5.4)
5.2 Browser Cookie Controls
Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. Here’s how to manage cookies in popular browsers:
5.3 Impact of Disabling Cookies
Please note that disabling certain cookies may impact your experience:
- Strictly Necessary: Blocking these breaks sign-in and the eBay connection
- Analytics: We won’t be able to improve our services based on usage data
- Functional: Your preferences won’t be saved between visits
5.4 Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no industry standard for DNT, so we don't respond to it. We do honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: when your browser sends GPC, we skip loading Google Analytics entirely, so no Google Analytics cookies are set for your visit. We never share your data for cross-context behavioral advertising, with or without the signal.
6. Legal Basis for Using Cookies (GDPR)
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and UK, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Legitimate Interests: For essential cookies and for the analytics and functional cookies described above. You can opt out through your browser, the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or GPC
- Consent: Would apply to any advertising cookies. We don't use those today, and we would ask before setting any
- Contract Performance: For cookies necessary to provide services you’ve requested
- Legal Obligations: For cookies necessary to comply with legal requirements
7. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to know what personal information is collected through cookies
- Right to delete personal information collected through cookies
- Right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell data)
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
8. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes:
• We will update the “Last Updated” date at the top
• We will notify you via email or prominent notice on our website
• We may request renewed consent for non-essential cookies
• Your continued use after notification constitutes acceptance
