The honest comparison

ListTune vs. Auctiva

Auctiva has powered eBay listings since 2003 — templates, scheduling, GTC relisting, the works. ListTune is what you get when you redesign that toolbox for 2026: AI item specifics, modern web UX, eBay-only focus. Here's where they overlap, and where they don't.

Why sellers switch

Three reasons.

01Modern AI, not just templates

ListTune writes the listing, not just the wrapper.

Auctiva's strength is its template gallery — 1,800+ designs that decorate your description. ListTune's strength is the listing's content itself: titles rewritten to lead with the terms eBay shoppers actually search, item specifics filled from your photos, condition notes that match what the buyer will see.

02Active product, active eBay

A tool that keeps up with eBay.

eBay's item-specifics graph, Top Rated mechanics, and category requirements change quarterly. A 20-year-old tool can absorb those changes slowly. ListTune ships against eBay's APIs weekly — when eBay adds a new required specific, it's in ListTune within days, not patches.

I used Auctiva for twelve years. It still works fine for scheduling. But the listings I tune with ListTune outperform the ones I just relist — that's the difference.

03Predictable, action-based pricing

Pay for tunes, not listing slots.

Auctiva's tiers gate how many listings you can post per month. ListTune's credits buy specific actions — tune one listing once, or re-tune one a hundred times. If you list 50 items but want to deeply tune all of them, that costs the same as listing 50 untouched.

Migration

From Auctiva in 5 min.

01≈ 3 minutes

Export from Auctiva

Use Auctiva's CSV export or pull listings directly via eBay's Trading API — both routes carry titles, descriptions, item specifics, and SKUs. Auctiva-hosted images stay live during the move.

02≈ 90 seconds

Drop the CSV into ListTune

We auto-map every column — including the legacy Auctiva fields that don't match modern eBay defaults. You'll see exactly what came across before any tuning runs.

03≈ 4 minutes for 100 listings

Pick a batch and run

Free tier covers your first 25. Titles get rewritten, item specifics get filled, descriptions get a modern pass. Auctiva keeps running in parallel — you can leave your scheduled relists untouched.

Questions

The Auctiva-specific stuff.

Different from our general FAQ on /pricing.

No — Auctiva is still operating and accepting new signups as of May 2026. It hasn't announced a sunset. That said, the product has been visibly stagnant for years: minimal UI updates, no AI features, slow customer support response. If you're using it today and it works for you, there's no urgency. But if you're shopping for the next decade of your business, the trajectory matters.

Listing data (titles, descriptions, specifics, SKUs) exports cleanly via CSV or eBay's Trading API. Auctiva-hosted images are a different story — they stay live as long as your Auctiva account stays active, but they don't transfer ownership to ListTune. We recommend rehosting your active listings' images during migration; ListTune handles this in bulk for InkFrog refugees and the same flow works here.

Yes. ListTune connects via eBay OAuth with full listing scope — same level of access Auctiva uses. You can pull active listings, push edits, publish drafts, and run bulk operations. The connection is owned by you and revocable at any time from eBay's account settings.

ListTune doesn't replicate Auctiva's GTC end-and-relist scheduler exactly — but for the SEO-refresh use case (the reason most sellers schedule relists), tuning an existing listing achieves the same outcome without ending it. If you specifically need timed end-and-relist with full new-listing visibility, you can keep Auctiva running for scheduling while using ListTune for tuning. Many sellers do exactly that during transition.

If Auctiva does what you need today, you don't have to. The honest reasons to consider switching: (1) AI-assisted item specifics save hours per week, (2) the modern web UI works the same on phone and desktop, (3) ListTune is actively shipping against eBay's current API rather than maintaining a 20-year-old codebase, (4) pricing scales with tuning actions instead of listing count, so deep-catalog sellers pay less.

Yes, and we recommend it for the first month. Migration is one-way read — we pull your listing data, we don't touch your Auctiva account. Your subscription, templates, and scheduled relists stay exactly as they are until you decide to cancel.
